Unharnessed Standardbreds Club

Standardbreds are one of the most misunderstood  and strereotyped  breed there is. As a result, many of these wonderful horses end up buggy horses, or get sent for slaughter. False facts have made people believe that standardbreds and standardbred crosses are of no value in the riding world because of their breed alone. No matter how well suited a horse is to the rider, or the potential it has in a particular discipline, Standardbreds are passed by. Our goal is to promote this amazing breed of horse for equestrian sports, and prove that all the myths giving them their bad name are untrue.
      Standardbreds are more then just a race horse, they truly are an amazing breed that can excel in any discipline.

 The main goal of UHSC Placements is to give STBD ex-racehorses a chance at a new life. By placing these horses in new homes they have the chance to show the riding horse community that these horses are not useless, and that they can do anything any other breed can do. Too many of these horses are going for slaughter and there's no need for it.
