TOOLES TERROR (3BS412, M)
PANS TO REASON - THE SCARLET TERROR - NUCLEAR TERROR
GENERAL INFORMATION
Foaling Date: 05/16/2004 Sex: Mare
Foaling Place: TRURO, NS Color: Bay
Markings: SMALL ELONGATED STAR.

Tooles Terror is a 5 year old red bay Standardbred mare. She has not raced for 2 years and the reason she stopped racing was a swollen knee which she sustained by hitting it on her feed tub. The swelling is long since resolved and she is very sound. She is not suitable for a small child or an inexperienced horse person. I have had her home for 2 years and have had no issues with her she has been sweet and cooperative but when she was racing her behavior was challanging at times. Her biggest vice was kicking when being harnessed. When she was harnessed and on the track she was fine and behaved well but she definately on occasion would kick when being harnessed. I would like to see her have a productive life. She would make someone a very nice little horse as she has good conformation for a standardbred and she is athletic.

Location : Truro , NS

You need to be approved through Morning Star Acres to view Terror.
There is a small  fee to relocate this candidate.

FOR SALE BY OWNER

BJ Starlite - Dolly
 April 2004
Mare
16.2hands  1200lbs (approx)
Broke to saddle Western /English
16.2+  bay @ black points, few white hairs on forehead - beautiful dapples in the summer. Very large mare, 1200+ lbs, needs draft/warmblood harness, her bridle is full horse, think warmblood may fit her better. Saddle used is semi QH bars. Measures 78" around for harness.
She is very green under saddle, approx 30 rides.she is not spooky, but she is young and green, her size, strength and personality make her more suitable for someone with experience, or working under a qualified coach. She will lunge, w/t/c both directions. She has never offered to buck or rear, either under saddle or harness. She does bend around your leg under saddle, gives well to the rein, and is easy to stop with voice or rein. She leads very well, does not charge, or pull lead from your hands.
Not suitable for jumping, as she had her suspensory and splints torn right foreleg in training, mare never race qualified, she is sound now, never took a lame step since we owned her (that leg has been pin fired)...front feet are shelly, she is barefoot for now but may require shoes on front if being worked on hard ground.(Farrier references available)

There is a requested fee for Dolly - $500
Can include tack for $750.
Owner wishes to request first right to refusal if mare is to be sold at a later time.Contact with owner is also requested.More information on this mare available.
IN order to view this mare you must be pre-approved or willing to provide references -vet-farrier- stable/coach

Location - West Covehead, PEI (12 miles form Charlottetown)

NEW - September

Always Jarwa, AKA " Al"
7 year old
Bay
Gelding
Around me and my husband has acts up cause he knows he will get away with everything, during his racing career AL was turned out on differen turn out farm, and we were told he was a sweetheart as soon as we go away.
He is a bit "spooky" I would suggest someone that does have a experience with horses.
As a 3YO Al broke is coffin bone, so we have kept a egg shoe with clamps on his left front shoe, but he has raced since then and it has not bothered him, blacksmith and vet both say that just a regular shoe would do we just
have not taken the leap to change him.  Al is being retired because of arthritis in is ankles.  The intense training and racing would put to much strain on his ankles and he would be in pain,. at the moment he is not on any medication,in Vet's opinion and mine, he could be ridden on leisure
rides without any problem but could probably not take every day riding for intense or hours, but for someone that would ride in the weekend or occasional once broke to the saddle Al would be a good candidate.
UTD with all care. Al trucks well in a slant trailer, but we have had some issues loading him  in smaller 2 horse straight trailer. We have not had to truck or load him in
small slant in quite a while so not sure how he would be now.

Conditions: Papers/No papers
A note will be sent to Standardbred Canada stating that Al can never race again, no papers will be transferred, also Al is never to be sold or re-given without our approval, if the owners cannot look after him then AI  would like to be contacted, I would also like to have the possibility to go
and visit him to make sure that he is looked after properly.  Al has been with us since he is 18 months old, he was good to us, and I want to make sure he has a good retirement

Location: Saint-John NB
You must be pre-approved through Morning Star Acres in order to view or be considered a home for this horse.
